So you?ve just moved to a new house, you know you want your new home to look great but you don?t know where to start. First of all, do you have any themes in mind? Does a specific theme or style catch your eye? Start by looking at different interior design magazines. Have in mind what kind of magazines you like when you look at them. For example, do you look through Elle Decor, Home Magazine, Better Homes and Gardens or Metropolitan Home? These magazines have different style, for example they can be contemporary, modern, or antique style.

Now that you have decided on your theme let's start with the furniture. If you will be buying new furniture make sure you take the appropriate measurements or else your room/house will end up looking like ?Alice in Wonderland? style. First move it to where you think it will look good, but always get a second opinion from a San Diego interior designer or decorator like me. They will help you re-work on the room and decorations. Discuss about the colors you like and especially don't like. Another important thing, if you have any kind of collection like art, photos, etc. let's show off your collection! That?s why you have it, to show it off. Have fun working in your new house, this is the place to relax and enjoy!
